This Yankees/Orioles game is a joke

What gives? Why not cancel/postpone?

Isn't this the makeup game the Yankees wanted to push back so they'd have a day off before the end of the season?

 

They need to make up early season rain outs right away. Play a DH the next day.

Instead, they push them 'till later in the year. So now, when they get weather like this, there's no off days left.

Either way, this is a disgrace. Wouldn't be surprised to see someone get hurt.

At the very least, they ought to escort every fan left in the Stadium down to the premium seats.

Day game tomorrow. I imaging tomorrow's starting pitchers have already been sent home.

 

Officially, because there are afternoon games between the two teams tomorrow (in NY) and Thurs (in Baltimore, a makeup of the controversial rainout from a couple weeks back) and the Yankees only have one more off-day this year (Sept. 15) and they'll be traveling from Seattle to Toronto. The last thing anyone wants is the Yankees finishing a half-game ahead of or behind the Red Sox and having to play a makeup game on Sept. 29.

Unofficially, b/c the Yankees want to fuck the Orioles for inconveniencing them with Thursday's rescheduled game. Yes, I know the umpires had the final call here, but the Yankees are loving every minute of this, I guarantee you that.

I would the the snarkiest story in the history of sport if I had to cover such a messy game.
