Can't wait for Montezuma's revenge next year.

Nice launch angle and exit velocity on that one. Or as your avatar would say, "It is LOOOOOOONG gone."

Montezuma got the most points for a 5 seed ever. Expect a recount request because of zebra fraud!

Not as in a key situation obviously, and the game ended 62-0 in part of it, but I had a playoff game on Thursday where the opposing team's coaches told them to fair catch kickoffs and they thought that meant take it a knee, so they did at their two. Then the next kickoff, they knelt at the three. They finally figured it out after that.

Figured it's about time to resurrect this thread.
Covered a high school season opener tonight that had a weird beginning. Team A returns the opening kickoff for a touchdown ... and then Team B returns the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown ... then Team A returns the next kickoff for a touchdown ... and finally Team B breaks another long kickoff return but the guy was tackled inside the 15. They scored on the next play. Four touchdowns in the first 90 seconds, with one offensive play between them.
After that, both teams started kicking it out of bounds.

Amazingly, it was only 40-26. After all of the fireworks at the beginning, there was only one touchdown the entire second half.

That one's still rising a year later.

    Dear coach:

Kicking the ball into space where the other team has one of their best athletes waiting to catch it is frequently a terrible idea.

I wasn’t covering it, but I was at a game Friday night because my two kids are in the band.

The first 12-minute quarter took about 15 minutes, with a couple of long drives that ended in fumbles and no scores.

The final was 57-41, and the second and early part of the third quarters took forever. Didn’t see the fourth because the band show was over.
