That's a load of shit. I hope that team loses 200-0 next week.

If you want to run it up like that, be prepared for your players to get hurt. Hard fouls, elbows up.

I'm not a fan of some of the comments that the losing coach made. Sometimes the best advice is just STFU.

Well, if a team is losing 162-2, odds are real good they probably don't have much of a capacity to hurt anyone in any way.

Lots of ways to hurt people.

    Especially if you have fingernails.

If a team is capable of beating YOU 162-2, the lyric "don't tug on Superman's cape" is probably a good thing to keep in mind.

No kidding. This coach has pulled this crap elsewhere (next door at Rialto). Bloomington basketball has been a disaster for about 50 years.

It's ridiculous that coach would be suspended. If the other team doesn't like it, either get better, or petition the league to change the way it does business. If there's a game on the schedule, a team should come to play, regardless of how weak an opponent is. Use your bench? Absolutely, but don't abandon your systems and expectations of execution to pander to them.

    It's high school sports.

How far do you take this? At what age does it become unacceptable to behave this way? Little League? Tee ball?

High school varsity is a pretty good rule of thumb.

And there need to be very clear mercy-rule/anti-RUTS rules -- running clock once the margin is over 30, or if it hits 50, game over.

Don't leave it up to anybody's decision/discretion; make it automatic.
