This is the best the Cubs could get.........

I don't see why the Yankees would do it unless they are getting Carlos Zamb
Kerry Wood? You think Brian Cashman starts laughing hysterically before or after he hangs up.

Try Carlos Zambrano or Aramis Ramirez and a quality prospect. It's not like the Yankees have to get rid of the guy. It just makes sense to take a good deal if it comes along. The Yankees aren't the Pirates. They aren't going to give the Cubs a great player for a stick of stale chewing gum.

You speak the truth, which is why it hurts to read it.

    I love the guy.

But this could be a lesson on the importance of knowing how to relate to the right people.

And Pineilla's already melting down. Gets quite testy in today's postgame conference.

It was a good meltdown, but not on epic level yet. The Cubs keep fucking up during this homestand, and Mariotti will have a lot of material to write about when Lou goes fucking nuts on the Chicago media.

That fifth inning today was disgusting.
Will Ohman, you're dead to me.

Ohman has been dead to me since 2004. Even the Iowa Cubs don't want him to return.

I don't blame them after his nine-pitch, one-strike effort today with the bases loaded.

It was a bad Ohman for the Cubs on Friday the 13th.

    TSP, that was nice. ;D

It could be an Ohman this evening for the I-Cubs. Home opener is tonight against Round Rock. No Prior, no Wood, and Felix Pie starting tonight. I expect 7,000 to show up at Sec Taylor...ahem, Principal Park.

    I hate this fucking team.

How long before Lou does too?
