NBC stations are set to air an improv comedy series dubbed "Sports Action Team" following the network's Sunday night telecasts of NFL games starting in the fall.

Improv actors and comedians will play a hapless team of sports reporters. Every week, they will interact with real-world professional and amateur athletes, managers, fans and celebrities. "Team" stars Kevin Fleming, Steven Fleming, Niki Lindgren, Antoine McKay, Katie Nahnsen and Al Samuels.

That isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Quite Frankly, I'd pay good money to see Stephen A. Smith make a meaningful, insightful and improvised point, about anything.
