    The gruff voice all quarterbacks use at the line of scrimmage

    The way a coach I cover starts every answer to one of my questions with "Again, ..." — even when it's the first thing I've asked him.

    Sound a car's tires make on a metal bridge roadway.

    Those very odd moments when a song you've been thinking about suddenly comes on the car radio. Bonus points if you turn on the radio or switch to the station and ... there it is!

    Opportunities to make like that delinquent kid on The Simpsons and say, "Hah hah!" at just the right moment when someone screws up. Breaks the tension every time. Or quadruples it.
