I don't know what it's called, but there's a course that Albert Spaulding designed way back in the late 1890s west of Mukwonago. It's a nine-hole, but its unique. I remember the 2nd hole was a "volcano" hole where the green was on top of this huge mound.

Ah yes, Eagle Springs is what it's called. My favorite course. It's the only course I remember having fun playing golf on.

    Here's a review by the Journal-Sentinel's Gary D'Amato ...

Jesu H. Christus, don't sleep in the car. There's plenty of reasonably priced places along the way. Then again, the car would be a better choice than some of the fleabag inns you'll see on 94 once you cross the Wisconsin line.

Be sure to stop at Mars Cheese Castle. Be sure NOT to stop at any porn emporium along the highway, unless you're driving a big rig.

Illinois is further than 30 miles away, dammit!

Seriously? I always reached Milwaukee within 20-25 minutes.

That's probably why you don't know what a good golf course looks like. You FIBs are driving too damn fast to check 'em out properly.

When you see the big sign for Lawsonomy, it's this:

plenty of outstanding restaurants in Milwaukee. Some nice clubs and the women, though a bit on the rough side, are nice.

And that proves what I said. They are a bit on the rough side, but nice.

Holy shit! All this time I've had a crush on Heather Graham and never knew she was born in Milwaukee.

Er I mean, we dated in ... uh ... second grade. Totally did it.

And Boots, oh object of carnal attraction, fuck off on my hometown women!
