I'm heading to KC for a couple days here shortly, and I'll have all of Sunday and most of Monday to make some hay. Any suggestions on passing the time for a couple of days, as well as lodging around Kaufmann Stadium? My previous trip there I toured the Jazz and Negro Leagues museums and I ate at Arthur Bryant's, so I'm looking for a new itinerary.

Go to Westport. Start drinking. Find the flea market. Go inside for one of the best burgers in KC ...

You need to give Gate's BBQ an equal try.

The Nelson Museum of Art doesn't suck.

See if there's a concert at the new Sprint Center. It's GORGEOUS.

I was not happy with Arthur Bryant's. Maybe it was the location. The food was good, but there were way too many flies buzzing around my sandwich.

Hm. Definitely the location then. Get a beef sandwich and find a nice spot. You won't regret it. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had.

Oh, yeah, I've got to check out a place that has a reverse happy hour.

The Nelson Atkins Art Museum is top-notch if you're in to that kind of thing. The Power and Light District is a great place to check out at night, and during the day, you can visit the College Basketball Experience/Hall of Fame right there, too (http://collegebasketballexperience.com/halloffame.aspx). Since you had Bryant's last time, get some Gates. Union Station (http://www.unionstation.org/) sometimes has some cool exhibits come through, so you could check the schedule and see if anything piques your interest. I'm sure you like beer, so sign up for a tour of the Boulevard brewery. Free beer at the end. There are also a ton of fun shops and night spots on the Plaza and in Westport.

Hit me up if you want more specific info.

Yeah, I was going to suggest the BKC Hall of Fame. Check out the World War I museum, too: http://www.theworldwar.org/s/110/index.aspx.

KC seems like the museum capital of the world. This trip seems to be shaping up to include beer, baseball, beer, beer, baseball, beer, baseball and some beer.

All I have to add is make sure Boulevard is included in the beer list.
