McMurry University scores 57 points, and puts up 708 yards of offense......and loses by 33.

    West Texas A&M 90
    McMurry 57

    Enjoy the box.

There were only two touchdowns (one by each team) scored in the fourth quarter, which means it was 83-49 after 3.

I'll bet McMurry fans called up talk radio to blame the quarterback for the loss. And fans of the other team complained the coach got too conservative in the fourth quarter.

    The offenses got tired.

West Texas A&M are a bunch of bullies.

And the box says it was their first meeting since 1957. Looks like it'll be 2069 before these rivals meet again.

I love the drive charts. Longest TOP on a drive? Five minutes. Eight scoring possessions lasted one minute or less.

Glad I wasn't the poor sap doing the scoring summary on that game.

I had a high school phone-in game once where a team scored 100 points. We were on deadline (as usual). I had to tell the coach "Let's just go with the highlights and not do the actual scoring summary. Start with guys who scored 3 or more touchdowns." Even that required more time than I would have liked. To do a scoring summary would have missed blowing deadline by half an hour.
