    Finally, one of our generation's greatest directors has a new film, based on the Upton Sinclair novel.

    Great title, Paul F. Tompkins in but no WH Macy or Phil Hoffman? Huh?

    'Bout time PTA has something in the works. Punch-drunk Love seems like ages ago. Boogie Nights is one of my favorite movies. The trailer for this one doesn't do much for me, but with him at the helm, I'm sure it will be interesting.

    I'm really looking forward to this. I'm a big sucker for his work.

  5. Which director will this film be an homage to?

    Hard Eight=David Mamet
    Boogie Nights=Martin Scorsese
    Magnolia=Robert Altman

    I still haven't seen Punch Drunk Love so I don't have a comparison for that one.

    This could be a great movie. Can't wait to see it.

  7. And Daniel Day-Lewis apparently is done learning how to be a cobbler in Italy!
