New York Times reports it to be true.

    What does this mean??

Assuming the report is true, is it possible that he wouldn't know?

ESPN is always about its hot personalities, and right at this moment Theismann isn't that guy. Five, six years ago - yes. Not now. He'll soon go the way of Merrill Hoge and Mark Malone.

It could be Jaworski, but I'd tab Vermeil instead...he's a better pure broadcaster and he's a one or two-year bridge guy that gets ESPN to whomever it really wants in that three-man booth. And I have my guesses on that.

Years ago, when ESPN first started doing Monday Night Countdown, Jaworski always appeared on the show while sitting in some room at NFL Films. He never got to appear on the set with the rest. A buddy of mine always complained they never let Jaws "outta that room." He always thought Jaworski deserved better than being stuck breaking down film in a windowless room.

My buddy will be dancing in the streets over this move.

I hear they are thinking about hiring Pac man Jones since he will be without work soon.

This just in. According to ESPN's David Aldridge, actor Matthew Fox will replase Theismann in the booth. Fox, as you know, meets all the necessary requirements.

    1) He's famous
    2) He's a celebrity, and
    3) He's a famous celebrity

Yes, yes ... ESPN's David Aldridge is now reporting that Pac Man Jones will take over. More on this story as it develops.

He always has his acting career to fall back on. Here he is in the seminal Cannonball Run II.

    Dear God thank you.
Now if only Madden would walk away from the mic all would be good.
