Not much news on the upcoming season in this feature, but they've filmed the last episode. And does anyone else find it amazing that a critically lauded but popularly ignored TV show gets a story on A1 of the Washington Post?

Of course, it's one of the slowest news days of the year. And it's semi-local as far as the Post is concerned. But for a little-watched show to get A1 play in the Post, when new episodes aren't even on the air at the moment, speaks volumes of the show itself.

Best show in the history of television. Hands down.

Nice job. And hell, what percentage of Washington Post readers you think watch "The Wire" -- I bet its fairly significant.

Marlo will be taking your questions at 1 p.m. today: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/discussion/2007/09/02/DI2007090200487.html

I've flown on an aiplane with Marlo.

Shook his hand and told him I was a big fan of the show.

No one else knew who he was. Sad.

    Suprisingly tall.

If I saw Omar, I would have been too scared to say hello.

    Omar is freaking awesome.

Sadly, I'm still watching Season 1 on DVD. I'm hooked, but that was expected considering my love for David Simon & Homicide.

I don't know whether I want the new season to hurry up or not.

    What a great show.
