    Well, here's to one of the all-time great shows.

    An oddly heart-warming finale. But I liked it.

    Just wow. I think this is the first time I came away from watching The Wire and feeling good. I like that feeling. What a great, great show.

    Thank you for not posting spoilers. I was concerned when I opened this thread that I'd know what happened before doc and I watch at midnight.

    I have such mixed emotions. Happy that there was a lot to be happy about in the finale. Sad about some of the things and downright sad that the greatest television show of all time is over.

    I don't have HBO, and have never seen the show.

    But a friend says I need to at least check out this last season when it comes out on DVD.

    You should start at the beginning. Season 1 to 4.

    If you don't start at the beginning it'll be really hard to follow, not to mention appreciate.
