Whitlock is ruing the day he swore off posting. He's put his username in at least twice before deleting it.

Just put that password in, big fella. You know you want to.

Unsophisticated sports-as-sociology reasoning, using anecdotes and assumed racism (millions of Americans root against the Williams sisters at Wimbledon, rather than root for them because of their nationality?) to create an us-vs.-them nonstarter.

    HERE IS YOUR ANWSER

"we live with a version of Obama's tightrope dance every day. We do the same dance in our workplaces, with our supervisors, our neighbors and our college classmates. In that way we know Obama couldn't be more like us, he couldn't be more black. We along with Obama know that even the most skilled tightrope performance may not be enough to ensure that you land on your feet."

Those aren't your thoughts. Those are the authors. I was asking for your thoughts on what she wrote.

Though, that was the paragraph that struck me the most as well. It laid out the root of the whole thing, made it so everyone could understand, no matter what their personal experience has been. I just wish it didn't have to be that way.

    . . . for which Bill Rhoden is eternally-grateful, for without such inspiration, he'd have eight columns a year . . .

No African American ever rooted for Tiger or Venus or Serena because they are also African American?

Question for Scoop: Is "dating outside the race" really that much of an issue for African-Americans when it comes to the Williams girls and Tiger?

Was it an issue for Michael Strahan or Barry Bonds?

As far as the incidents of perceived "cheating" against the Williams sisters in two Grand Slam matches, every tennis player has probably gotten tough calls in crucial matches. And they did win 13 Slams between them, most of them before the incidents cited in your column.

No, Bruh, Scoop scoops the shit like none other.

    Unmitigated horseshit.

If he had another brain, it would die of loneliness.
