I didn't know uppity meant anything more than arrogant until I opened this thread.

Upon learning of its other meanings, Limbaugh shouldn't have said it. But it does seem par for his course.

As a Tennessee native with family in both Georgia and North Carolina, I find this very hard to believe. I'm not saying I don't believe you, I just think you weren't paying attention.

And in a just world, New Rochelle would be called New Michelle.

Now, why would you bring New Rochelle in to it?

That just struck me as odd. Was born in New Rochelle. Went to grade school in New Rochelle. Two of my brothers live in New Rochelle.

But, it doesn't come up much on SportsJournalists.com.

Trust me, totally random, YF. I'm about the last person to know anything about anybody around here

Oh, I didn't mean it like that.

The randomness is what struck me.

I don't know how you could like it better than The English Patient.

I heard that Sack Lunch was pretty good in The Client.

I am a 49 year old man that grew up in Wisconsin. I knew by the time I was in high school not to use the word uppity when referring to a black person. That any educated person in 2011 is learning this for the first time is very suprising. In fact I call bullshit. Just admit that Rush is an insufferable, racist pig and be done with it.
