I love that they go to Al Sharpton for a comment.

Is he still the spokesperson for African-Americans? With his history of inflammatory remarks, is he really who you want to go to?

You have said on here that you like Rush Limbaugh a great deal.

Don't you think calling a black woman "uppity" - the First Lady, no less - is crossing a line, even for him?

    Would I say it? No.

Though, I'm pretty sure Rush has previously, so this isn't really news.

I imagine I could listen to any one of a number of radio talk shows on any given day, and come up with some story like this.

What's funny is that you didn't link to Media Matters, or some left wing blog (though, I imagine they were the original "source"), but to the New York Times.

Is this their new direction? And Al Sharpton? Really? Un-ironically?

Oh, look, here's the Media Matters report on the subject: http://mediamatters.org/blog/201111220023

So, here's the opposite story of the day:

Can you imagine the reaction if something similar had happened to Michelle Obama or Nancy Pelosi?

I'll look forward to the Times article on this controversy.

A racist Republican leader? I'm shocked.
