    Best ad I've seen in a while. And definitely better than the NYT's awful Weekender ads.

    It's a great spot, but just think of the jobs they could've saved with the money they spent on production.

    WestCoastVol, sometimes, marketing is actually beneficial. This advertisement is going to get tons of hits and remind people that The Guardian is a pretty decent publication, regardless of platform. I think it's a huge success.

    I also think this thread should be on the Journalism topics only board.

    Great advertisement. Really well done and clever. That would have been the best Super Bowl commercial had it run during the game.

    Then you should also know that there's almost no way that the money came out of a pile that would have otherwise went to editorial.
