    George's column is behind that Times Select/Cargo Pants paywall...

    Summary: the sullen, swollen Barry Bonds of the outsized mandible sits in lobby of winter meetings hotel selling pencils from a tin cup....McGwire will have to wait "a decade or two," G says....also says he's tired of self-flaggelation for having not shouted, "Steroids!!! Steroids!!!," and lays it on the baseball industry....
