"The Soup" expands to sports

    E! will begin producing a sports version of The Soup for Versus Network in October. Sadly, Joel McHale won't be hosting it ...

    Damnit! I don't get Versus here. That said, at least I won't be missing any McHale.

    Wow! Just what we don't need: Real life stupidity committed by athletes summed up by some comic/social critic's irreverent comedic stupidity.

    Hope it lasts longer than Dennis Miller's show on Versus, which was decent, but all over the place (interviews were dreadful, but, as expected, the jokes and photo thing he does were good).

    The Soup is probably my favorite 1/2 hour of television each week.
