The only Smothers Brothers thing I have ever seen. The Who rips it up....

My mom just said she thought one of them was dead.

    The one she liked best?

    I thought so, too.

Tommy and Dickey but I can't remember which was which. Wasn't Dickey the "serious" one Mom liked best? Is that even the right name?

They were regulars in the house when I was growing up.

Much as I had thought Art Linkletter was already dead, I thought the Smothers Brothers had packed it in a long time ago.

Ditto. I figured 1969 was the last time they had even seen the light of day.

I expected Tom to be directing a granola ranch in Vermont, and Dick to be a Burger King franchiser in Papillion, Neb.

    Sirs, Madames,

Oh to be old enough to remember them taking chances and giving the middle finger to values police at CBS.

Can Tom finally go out of character?
