If football, soccer and golf can be played in the rain, why not baseball?

But, yeah, four games per day on the same field is asking for disaster.

Something about firing a deadly object toward someone at 90 mph and having it potentially slip out of your hand and toward the batter's head. Or swinging a bat and risking it slip from someone's hand and into the crowd.
Plus, baseballs themselves don't react well to getting wet. Footballs, soccer balls, golf balls, are all pretty weather-resistant. If a baseball gets too wet it becomes waterlogged and heavy, and difficult to hit or throw.

Fair enough. Although if one can lose a grip on a baseball bat, they can also lose a grip on a golf club.

When has golf been played while it's raining? I've yet to see that ...

Back to the main topic...last game of tonight's SEC tournament session has yet to start. What a joke.

Golf is played a LOT in the rain. Harken to Bethpage in 2002. Usually, rain in the spring/summer comes with electricity. That's no good.

Maybe ends by 1:10 a.m. ... unless it gets tied in the bottom of the ninth.

Careful what you wish for. South Carolina's got first and second, nobody out.

I ain't invested in it, just glad none of our guys have caught this slot in recent years.

    Hear, hear.
As a fan, though, there is something cool about catching the tail end of a game late at night like this. Or when you're home on a weekday and there's a game on in the early afternoon. It's like seeing something illicit.
