    I liked the later versions in the series that punished the reader for playing it safe.

    To leave without the treasure, turn to Page 7.

    To walk across the 60-foot chasm, turn to Page 124.

    Page 7: As you leave the cave, a giant wildebeest tramples you. Despite four broken limbs and numerous ruptured internal organs, you live for two days, slowly dying of thirst until a horde of army ants finishes you off.

    Page 124: An invisible bridge appears. You're rich!
