    Yessssss!!!!! Some people from the Seattle outing will remember (a very intoxicated) me calling my brother at 3 a.m. when this song came on in the last bar we were at. My brother and I used to play this song over and over and run around the living room in circles. Poor bro, he was on the opposite coast when he got that call, dead asleep, and was very confused.

    You are the shit, Cadet. To me, Gloria is the definitive roller skate rink song.

    Someday, Mrs. Bubbler, myself, and my kids will do a group skate to Gloria and I will cry, knowing I passed the Branigan roller skate rink torch down to another generation.

    This will come right before I fall on my never-could-roller-skate-worth-a-shit, out-of-shape ass. I will give a thumbs up from my gurney when Branigan sings her final, triumphal verse.

    Then, Mrs. Bubbler and the kids, will shrug and continue skating to this ...
