    painful to watch when the Knicks and Grizzlies are playing 3 OTs because neither team is capable of making play or a freee throw when it matters.

    ... a 3-week diversion in February between the Super Bowl and the start of spring training.

    . . . full of individually talented players.

    . . . lacking defence.

    . . . lacking offensive rebounders.

    . . . not as fun to watch as NCAA hoops.

    . . . not showing enough of LeBron James (perhaps that changes this year? Remember when Jordan was EVERYWHERE!?).

    . . . without a real rivalry (a la Lakers/Celtics, Piston/Bulls, Pistons/Lakers).

    . . . still full of the greatest athletes in any sport (anyone see Tyrus Thomas' putback on opening night? WOW!)

    . . . has terrible pregame hosts on TNT (save EJ and Kenny Smith - Magic and Sir Charles are brutal).

    . . . still more fun to watch than hockey.
