Why are do the comments from the 19-year-old in that article sound like they are from a 13-year-old?

Have you ever been 19 and unhappy with your parents? You tend to regress a bit in age.

Rosie, are you sure you aren't outing yourself by posting this story?

    I'm sure. :D

I have never lived in Iowa and I have a few years before I'm 48.

I promise, I'm not the mom in the story.

Ooohhh...my bad. There's almost nothing worse than getting a woman's age wrong. Especially if it's in the other direction. Sorry.

Just a side story on that: As I'm getting ready to apply for the teaching position I just got, I was talking to one of the current teachers and said, "xxx, you're older than me, aren't you?"

Uhm, no....two years younger. Way to go. ::)

(at least I still got the job)

It's good to teach the kid a lesson, but couldn't she have easily done this without adding a public humiliation element to it? I applaud selling the car, just not the way she did it. I'm sure the kid won't be ridiculed in school about this at all.

Who the hell would buy a 1999 Olds Intrigue in the first place?

He's 19. He should be out of school. High school, at least.

GM cars run bad longer than most cars run at all. :)
