The lyric you named your band after

Listening to some Bowie I realized that "Beerlite Taguideus" would be a great name for a glam band. Along the same lines, I've always thought a great name for a Mod band would be "Mr. Jones Got Run Down."

What songs inspired your imaginary band?

Oh sure. I tell you the name of my imaginary band, and you'll steal it.

Friend of mine was in a bar band called the Psychobilly Cadillacs after the line in the Johnny Cash song "One Piece at a Time".

My Van Hagar tribute band is called "Only Time Will Tell If We Stand The Test of Time." It's hard to fit on a roadhouse sign, but it's impossible not to be inspired by such brilliant lyric writing.

The Chair Is Not My Son, based on the famous misunderstanding of a lyric in Billie Jean

I was in many bands in my youth, but only one took it's name from a song lyric. I had a singer-songwriter guitar duo with another guy in college: Beggar's Tomb.

Not as cool as the non-lyric band names with which I've been associated.

Our college band was named D.h. Truck, no one would let us use the actual word Dickhead when we wanted to promote the band.

I think a cool rock band name would be Insufficient Tact from Rush's Limelight.

And if anyone uses it and burns an album, I hope to get at least a shout out somewhere on the sleeve.

I am quite disappointed there has never been a band named, "Pictures of Chairman Mao."

How about an all-female Bowie tribute band? Suffragette City.
