Norm MacLean NEVER bothers anyone. So what if he enjoys a free meal, who doesn't?
All I know is if you ask Norm for advice or information, he will gladly give it to you. He will try to help you out when your "friends" at other papers won't.
Get off the guy's back. I'm happy that he's getting a paycheck the honest way.
    Congratulations Norm.

There are myriad reasons why I agree with 21 here.

I had my first experience with Norm at a hockey game earlier this year.

Standing in a scrum, a guy who looked like a balding Dr. Emmett Brown strolled over. He wore a faded denim jacket that was older than I was. He pulled out a tape recorder that could have been better described as a reel-to-reel; the damn thing could have had a parking spot.

In that moment, I knew exactly why Smasher and BYH dislike him.

Why dislike him. Because he's old? Did he do ANYTHING to you?

Did I say I dislike him? No. I didn't. I said I realized why others disliked him.

And what would be that reason?

You know what? It's not worth it. Believe what you want.

It's not worth it? Yet you go out of your way to bad mouth the guy on a web site under an anonymous name?
    Come on dude.
Norm doesn't bother anyone. Perhaps you can't give me a reason because there is no reason.
I'm not calling you out but when you make the statement you made, it would be nice to know what you mean.

I thought Norm was the guy in the crumpled blue suit, glasses, sideburns, mouth usually some form of open, with really long fingernails.

If that's not Norm, who's that guy?

Either TSN wire or TSN in Canada needs a new name.

I think you're talking about Robert Eklund.
