    I always thought he was one of those guys who just completely lucked out and if they hadn't tanked to get Duncan would be lucky to be a NBA assistant at this point, but a friend who has covered them insists he's one of the best coaches in the NBA.

    Yeah. Sure. Did you give daily briefings the last time you negotiated a deal with the Free Press? ESPN? WJR? Who the fuck, in the world, EVER gives daily press briefings when you are negotiating for (possibly) other jobs?

    Maybe he asked Mateen Cleaves and Jason Richardson for their opnions as they sat next to him at Thursday night's NBA Finals in Los Angeles.
