The LA Times continues its death spiral

    According to LA Observed, another 50-75 are expected to depart -- beginning now.

    "Expensive veterans" are this round's targets, as opposed to a lot of young'ins who were taken out in the July purge.

    From what I hear the majority of the Tribune papers are all getting hit again before Christmas.

    I'm gonna go out on a ledge and say MANY newspapers will be shedding people before the end of the year.

    And how many people are going to be shedding newspapers? In this economy? Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free and don't even have to open your front door to get it.

    Why buy the cow when the cow doesn't give you the milk it used to give you...

    And you can get the milk for free elsewhere.
