    The fact that someone actually took the time to write a bad story is amazing. Many stations (reputable ones in good markets) are simply copying the scripts over, removing the upper-case letters and ellipses typically used in broadcast scripts. They don't read like stories, but read like something with room for ad-libs, etc. I could go on and on about the new reporters at my Gannett station that came there not knowing how to construct a sentence (some learned, some didn't.).

    Going from college sports information to television made me the stud writer in the newsroom, hands down.
