The Holiday

A little uneven, but I liked it.

For the first time, I really saw what everyone else sees in Jude Law. I wish I could be that guy for a day.

I cannot take my eyes off Cameron Diaz.

Jack Black was OK... but I thought the part could have been cast better.

What I really liked about the film were little double-dip references... Ennio Morricone was mentioned (Tuco was in the cast), another regarded Hans Zimmer, and the most obvious was to The Graduate.

I like those little bits.

 

Sorry, I am not going to a film where it appears Jack Black hooks up with Kate Winslet.

My suspension of disbelief only goes so far.

 

I agree. Hated the casting.

 

C'mon, hot chicks dig funny.

On a side note, I leave for comedian training school next week.

I'll leave those jokes for you. I didn't see Richards getting a lot of laughs.

 

One of the blogs I read every day had a post right before Thanksgiving where the guy said he was into dark-meat turkey:

"Do you like white meat? Then fuck off. I'm a dark meat man. None of this bland white meat shit. Dark meat is moister and has more fat. It's like Kate Winslet. And who doesn't enjoy Kate Winslet?"

 

Equating Kate Winslet with chubby is so 8 years ago.

 

Unless, of course, she gives you one.

 

Winslet majorly does it for me...pruriently and as an actress. Has the chops and has nothing against nudity. I'm gonna give it a look.

 

Her spin in Gervais' Extras was in-fucking-credible.

I'll always be a huge fan after that.
