I apologize in advance if I'm just clueless. I don't live anywhere near the Left Coast, so, I'll plead ignorance if that is an acceptable excuse.

A group in outrage after a radio guy used the G-Word.

Any page with a link to Mark Levin on it is in the automatic crackerbox category.

Somebody wants to get on TV real bad.

The offended in question, a group of black conservatives, are sponsored by a larger conservative group with past ties to the Abramoff scandal, they were middle men for payoffs.

I'll agree with both the aforementioned points, but do they have even the slightest of a point? Let's just drop all names for races/nationalities other than just what - white, black, Hispanic - they are and treat them the same. Nobody should get a pass when it comes to a slur?

These stories all have a similar theme:

Somebody is very very upset that other people are trying to make racial/ethnic/religious slurs less acceptable.

Here in Texas, "gringo" isn't a slur. "Liberal," sure, but not gringo! ;)

White people have run this country since the beginning! They still do! White males are especially bad! Guy, guys, you listening? How do I sound? Guys, guys, I'm serious. Listen to me! Please? C'mon, how about all this misplaced guilt? Seriously, I hate myself. Isn't that open-minded?

I think the more accurate term is "cracker-ass surname."

Seriously, is gringo considered a slur? I don't take it that way.
