Yeah. I don't understand why she has been working for Ryan so long and now is taking a job that somebody straight out of college would start with.

Ugh, that's a real Al Campanis moment.

 

Kiley played linebacker at Wyoming and his station bio says he also played in the NFL, though that apparently amounted to a preseason stint with the Jets in 1974.

It would be a riotously fun story if someone could track down all the radio hosts who say they played in the NFL and put a percentage on how many actually did.

But, "she never played the game!" is always a good one. You can see how much that's holding back Todd Haley.

 

If she ever did play in the NFL, naturally it would be as a slot receiver.

 

Or tight end, if one were into that sort of thing.

 

This feels like such a Rex Ryan move. Do something that gets attention while taking focus away from a disappointing season.

 

Or Dan Quinn, whose highest level of football as a player was at Division III Salisbury Steak ... er, State.

 

How much does this job pay?

 

Or it could be that she, I dunno, deserved the job.
