    Ho-lee sh*t.
    I can't believe someone with a live microphone would say that he wanted to see Ted Kennedy die of an assassin's bullet instead of a brain tumor.
    Fireable offense? I don't care what that douche bag's ratings are, if I'm the boss, he's gone.
    What if Limbaugh or O'Reilly had said something like that?
    And what the eff is a sports talk radio guy doing opining about Ted Kennedy?

    Then why did he try and cut down the Dome Patrol, claiming there was no way it was better than the linebackers in Pittsburgh in the '70s?

    That video clip was blatantly sucking up to the Steelers. Granted, he also said it on NFL Network and not a Pittsburgh-centered show, so I may have answered my question.

    Madden is one of the worst people in this business, but this is his act...

    This is what he's known for, and for better or worse, this is why he has listeners...

    I just sure as hell wouldn't be one of them.

    I've never listened to Madden, but if he's as bad as those on this thread say, I'm not missing much.
    That said, I'm sorry to report that his station apparently hasn't fired him.
    Was just listening to ESPN GameNight in the car and he was on for an extended segment to talk hockey with Freddie Coleman, and they promo'd him as being from ESPN Radio in Pittsburgh.
    Sorry to disappoint you guys.

    It got him a lot of publicity which got him additional listeners...

    I don't agree with it, but that's the way the radio game works...

    A couple years ago in the wake of the death of the 13-year-old girl at the Columbus Blue Jackets game, and the NHL's quick decision to extend netting over additional sections of the stands, Madden went absolutely ballistic in a column, saying in so many words the girl was probably a ditzy airhead chick who wasn't paying attention (and implying of course she therefore deserved to die).

    A fucking pig, in every sense of the word. Needs to be fucking stifled. Any broadcast or print outlet which disseminates his horse shit has to be called on the carpet publicly as endorsing it.
