The change in DST could cause some problems. That's because a lot of older computer networks are still set to spring forward in April. Unlike Y2K, where the problem was recognized years in advance, there could be a lot of disruptions in air and rail travel, finance, etc. because the time change was approved without a lot of lead time for fixes to be made.

Seems to me like one could simply manually set the clocks ahead, but it's never that simple, it seems.

Should I get the Y2K survival kit ready?

Read an interesting story one or two months after Y2K about how food banks were getting lots of people's survival kit goodies. Somehow, I doubt that's happening this time around.
