The downside of winter...

I didn't turn my heat on all last winter. My indoor temperature had to be between 35-45 the entire time. Luckily, I worked two full-time jobs and spent a lot of time at friend's houses. But I saved a whole lot of money in the process.

I'm all-electric, so the thermostat stays at 60. (Electric heat is expensive shit.)

I use a space heater in the master bedroom. Keeps the electric bill down. I also have a window AC unit I use the same way in the summer.

I'm way too cheap for that. My kids are going to hate me.

I lived in a house with three other guys my senior year of college and we didn't turn the heat on until January because we were too cheap. I finally couldn't take it anymore, though, when I could see my breath in the house. I don't recommend not using a heater in your house during Idaho winters.

I'll steal a couple if need be. I'm not above it.

I appreciate the warning. Although I can't imagine actually going to Idaho.

Yeah, but Idaho doesn't have the Nation's Icebox!

Blue turf, hot Mormon girls, good high school basketball and some snow.

Oh yeah? Try having oil heat right now -- it goes up with gas prices. It's running me $400 a month, just for fuel alone. I'm moving in a couple of weeks in large part because the oil furnace is killing me. Can't wait to have electric heat.
