So, Stanford, UCLA, Clemson and Wisconsin are the country's best programs?

 

In what universe is Maryland in any shape a powerhouse?

In what universe is Notre Dame not embarrassing?

 

The Terps did go to a BCS bowl in the past decade. But then, so did Kansas and Wake, and they're squarely on the cream-puff side of things.

EDIT: Holy shit, the WSJ is arguing that Houston, Maryland and Indiana are better football programs than Tennessee, Arkansas, West Virginia and Stanford. STANFORD!

At one point not long ago the top 2 teams were:

1, Missouri
2, Kansas

 

They didn't use the correct Texas A&M logo! #LogoPolice

 

West Virginia went 4-8 last year, has sliding attendance and Big Ernie McCracken for a coach.

 

Arkansas is WAY overrated on both measurements. Probably by half.

 

The proximity of Air Force to SMU and Memphis is troubling.
