Nah, they gave both programs too much credit - UVA on the football scale and VT on the admirability scale.

I guess Tebow offsets all of Florida's recent arrests.

If Kain Colter moved the needle for Northwestern, as the graphic indicated it did, did Ed O'Bannon move the needle for UCLA?

Guess we'll have to wait until basketball season to find out.

So, Stanford, UCLA, Clemson and Wisconsin are the country's best programs?

In what universe is Maryland in any shape a powerhouse?

In what universe is Notre Dame not embarrassing?

The Terps did go to a BCS bowl in the past decade. But then, so did Kansas and Wake, and they're squarely on the cream-puff side of things.

EDIT: Holy shit, the WSJ is arguing that Houston, Maryland and Indiana are better football programs than Tennessee, Arkansas, West Virginia and Stanford. STANFORD!

EDIT AGAIN: My eyes are going. That was Cuse. Stanford is where it should be.

At one point not long ago the top 2 teams were:

    1, Missouri
    2, Kansas

West Virginia went 4-8 last year, has sliding attendance and Big Ernie McCracken for a coach.

Arkansas is WAY overrated on both measurements. Probably by half.

The proximity of Air Force to SMU and Memphis is troubling.
