The Atlantic on Dr. Kermit Gosnell

Well that was horrifying. Guess it'll get all that coverage soon enough.

And godwilling only horrible things will happen to Gosnell henceforth.

 

Right. There's no concern for the babies. It's all political.

But folks who are "concerned" by Sandy Hook are only concerned about the children, and have given no thought to politics.

Is this right?

Now I remember when she appeared on MSNBC, and the President had her deliver his Saturday speech.

And, other victims relatives had meetings arranged for them by lobbyists with their Senator.

Which magazine article do you think did a better job in telling the story, the one in Esquire or the New Yorker? Didn't one of them get nominated for a National Magazine Award?

Why would they need a lobbyist if there's already a law against what happened to them?

Why should the media back away from stories that are "too horrifying"?

The Sandusky case was horrifying. The media, once on it, didn't back away.

Babies being murdered. Barbarically. And it's too hot an issue? Bullshit.

Everything about this story is appalling. If it's not covered, what is ignored next?

 

Larger media outlets have covered it poorly because, IMO, it's so awful that people just want no part of it. Secondarily, it drags abortion into a spotlight that reporters are rarely comfortable addressing.

 

If you do a search for Dr Kermit Gosnell in NYT search section you see that they have not been exactly all over the story.

One story in past 2 years. Last one on March 18th , 2013.
