Most likely heard about the death of Hooters' founder in Myrtle Beach a few days back. In today's AJC, they teased the story from the front page to the inside. The tease:

"Man behind Hooters dies at 69"

I can't imagine that whoever wrote that tease didn't know the double entendre behind it.

The 1A rail teases for the AJC are some of the best newspaper writing specimins around. Whoever does them has a sense of humor that would make him/her a perfect fit on this board.

I was hanging out earlier tonight with the manager of a local Hooters. He was drunk. Though I think it was more because it was a day ending in Y and less because of Papa Hooter's death. But at least he knew, and was drinking in Papa's honor.

Change the 18 in the link to 17 and you will. It ran in yesterday's paper.

Also on the top of the page, they refer to Kyle Busch winning a Nextel Cup race ... and a photo of Ryan Newman's car.
    Brilliant!

    More page designer excellence.

Of course, now some dipshit will proceed to inform me how this was the copy editor's fault.

How about the teaser right underneath the Hooters one?

"'Chest' brings in the most booty"
