    ...Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin.

    WTF?

As one poster notes..."it would be more entertaining if Baldwin hosted with his daughter."

The only chance this has of working is if Tina Fey is the show's writer!

I thought Hugh Jackman did an amazing job last year. I suspect this year will suck. Still, they could let Carrot Top host and people would still watch the Academy Awards, wouldn't they?

Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin are both funny. I don't see the problem.

One of them is a pretty talented guy.

After the Emmys I would have gone with NPH. I'm guessing he's probably still not considered famous enough for this gig though...

I really can't believe anyone would complain about Martin and Baldwin.

I'm not an all-time Steve Martin fan, but he's very good at this kind of thing, though sometimes a little too cool for the room.

Jackman's great at this, too -- he was awesome in repeated Tony exposures --
but he's VERY busy, and we're lucky to see him in the States as much as we do.

    NPH? No, thanks.

Martin can pick a little, too.

I think these two will be good. Of course, I'm also one of the three people who enjoyed Letterman as Oscar host.

I thought Letterman was better than Whoopi, Rock, Stewart and I didn't think Jackman was anything special.

I love Steve Martin, but I'm trying to think of his last good movie.
