There's zero prestige in winning on the road course, as several Cup vets said this year, but there's also zero revenue in the oval for IMS. The race-savvy fan base in Indy has given up on the 400.

Much better and much safer than temporary street circuits.

One note about the Bristol dirt race: They’re making it a night race, which will be much better for the dirt surface.

Let’s do a Cannonball Run tribute. Bristol to Memphis is almost exactly 500 miles. Do a rolling roadblock on I-40 and go for it.

I was going to say Mountain City (Johnson County) to Knoxville with "Copperhead Road" blaring the whole way.

On Easter night. Do lots of people in the South get Easter Monday off? I remember a bit of kvetching about the Texas All-Star Race on a Sunday night.

It could end up like the Thanksgiving night NFL game, where everyone watches once they kick out their family.

Back then, Bearden was actually separate from Knoxville and not in the middle of it.

Cartersville, Ga. to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is 502 miles. I want to see Cup cars handle Chattanooga and Nashville truck traffic.

And if they're taking I-24 through Monteagle, who has the guts to go down the mountain without braking?

Open up both sides of the I-24 split at Monteagle sort of like a bike race going through a traffic circle.
