    Well, if the Mavericks aren't going to play there, then why is there an All-Star Game there?

    I guess that is one way it is a stunt.

    Because the Mavericks had to be the one who put in the bid so clearly they don't have a problem with it.

    But if Simon says it's a stunt then it's a stunt.

    The reason the Mavericks wouldn't hold it in their building was because Cuban didn't want to displace the season ticket holders who would pushed aside by the celebs and corporate-types. This solves that problem.

    In 1989, the Rockets hosted All-Star weekend and most things were at The Summit, but the game was played at the Astrodome. I don't see much different here.
