That's a lot of white space

    Has anyone mentioned this?

    I'm guessing that if the Pakistani government can banish journalists from its country, it can intervene in a private printing enterprise and censor unflattering information.

    Sure they can. Or the local partner knows to self censor, so as to avoid trouble.

    That still leaves the NYT with a decision to make. Do you just "regret" the censorship, or do you find a new partner, and/or pull out of the market?

    Pulling out of the market is the last thing I'd consider if it were up to me.

    This isn't the first time it's happened, but finding a new partner is not a guarantee that it would stop.

    I'm guessing NYTers are not leaving it at "we regret this." I'd bet they are exploring other avenues, but it's above my pay grade to know for sure.
