I haven't seen that score since amatuer ball with aluminum bats.

Egads.

 

Oh, wait, that's right, the Orioles still have the bottom of the ninth!

 

At this point the Rangers could put the ballboy in to pitch and still have a 60% chance of winning.

 

And Game 2.

 

The fascinting thing about baseball -- the record for most runs in a game in the modern era (29) was set by the Boston Red Sox against the St. Louis Browns on 6/8/50. Today, the St. Louis Browns are the Baltimore Orioles!

Boston tied its own record five years later against the White Sox.

 

There was a 30-0 minor-league baseball game involving the Lake Elsinore Storm (Padres Class-A affiliate) and the Lancaster JetHawks (Red Sox affiliate) in the California League earlier this year.
