While I find most tweets useless about 90 percent of the time, I also have always felt the UT media relations sports staff is very full of itself about 90 percent of the time.

I think that's a common take. Fans I talk to don't give a shit who tweeted it first. It's thoroughly insane, though, that we got to this point where you better believe any halfway relevant news regarding a team goes on Twitter before your individual news organization Website.

And if a tower blows over in a derecho, nobody saw nothing.

The best part of the Notre Dame part is them telling people they can't sell sponsorship for the videos. Like you have any control over that.

Yeah, should be interesting cause the suits will be involved here. For sure. They will be telling their reporters what to do and how to approach this. Surely the videos will have sponsorship. Surely the newspapers will ignore all the ND edicts. Like I said, will the police escort offenders out? Could get interesting with lots of lawsuits.

Never gonna win a title with such absurd accessibility.

Twitter seems irrelevant for the who-got-there-first thing. First thing in my feed on my phone is invariably two hours old. Followed by things I may have missed, followed by something a church friend wrote, followed by some new things, followed by something a day old. I don't know why Twitter does what it does, but it's dumb.
