Re: KOBE leads LAL to historic depths - Nationally Televised humiliation

I have a real hard time accepting the "Kobe's supporting cast" argument since Kobe told Lakers management he wanted those guys signed.

Besides, I think we were just shown what the Suns would be without Nash. Did they not just get shit kicked for two weeks without Nash in the lineup or however long he was out? The arguement could be made that Nash takes Amare Stoudemire and Shawn Marion from the good or great level to the all-star level. He makes that team go.

Home loss to the Hawks. That's about all that needs to be said.

MVP this year? Take your pick between Nash, Dirk, and LeBron.

You're missing the point. He's deferring more. Some of the things he's done can't be shown in stats.

Come on now. I guarantee you that Amare Stoudemire and Shawn Marion could be great players without Steve Nash. Hell, Amare is a huge reason why Nash gets so many assists. That Nash/Amare pick and roll(which they do alot) is unstoppable.
Yeah, they lost games with Nash. But you CAN'T tell me that a team with Amare,Marion, Raja Bell, and Barbosa is better than a Lamar Odom(injured), Luke Walton(injured), Kwame(injured), Smush Parker, and Andrew Bynum. You just can't.

    The Suns without Nash. Playoffs.
    The Lakers without Kobe. Lottery.
The Cavs without LeBron. Extinction.(remember them pre-LeBron?)

Nothing anybody does on a basketball court doesn't eventually show up in one stat: the scoreboard. The Lakers are 33-31. Nuff said.

Yeah they're on a losing streak(This stuff happens in a 82 game season.) But when they get some of their players(injuries) back, they'll be fine.

You can argue that he sent Shaq out. But I don't think he was the one that actually brought in these guys.

It was widely reported that he wanted Shaq out and wanted guys like Odom and Smush in because they played "his style" if memory serves.

Kobe got what he wanted. He got guys that are willing to defer to him. And the Lakers suck shit. He's not the MVP.

Yeah, but it was also once widely reported that Dewey defeated Truman.

The Lakers are in a losing streak. Big deal. This stuff happens in an 82 game season. Especially when you're dealing with injuries. They're still 6th in the west but you guys make it seem as if they're the worst team in the league.

Kobe's league MVP? He's not his team's MVP. That designation belongs to Lamar Odom, who they run The Triangle through. Odom rebounds, scores, passes, plays defense--a facet of the game that Kobe has stopped participating in.
