    It's a small sample size, but the cards went 7-3 at home in the World Series games, 3-8 in away games. What whitey's scheme givers they tooketh as well. I also remember circa 1989 that five of the 10 players with the highest stolen base percentages of all time minimum something like 50 career steals were cardinals under Whitey.

    That's a good stat.
    I find those teams fascinating now and wish I appreciated them more as a boy.
    I mean Tom Herr had 110 RBI one season with eight home runs- that's right out of the deadball era.
