Not sure I'd call the original CSI a fad, it's had a heckuva run.

I enjoyed Fishburne and didn't know he wasn't going to return. But Danson...ugh.

Isn't Marg Hellenberger not returning too?

If she is leaving and Fishburne is out of there, I can see why they'd want a bigger name.

I've been aboard since the first episode, but they might lose me with this move. Crikey.

13 episodes from 2000-2009 according to imdb. (and sometimes the wife, steenbergen)

I read that Marg is only doing about six episodes next season.

  7. They should bring him back as his Becker persona. (He was a doctor, after all)

It could be like Lou Grant or Trapper John.

I think he should come back as Sam Malone. :)

I honestly don't remember what exactly happened in the Cheers finale. I just remember Diane was there and Kirstie Alley married Tom Berenger...

I heard in the first episode he has to figure out why "someone" suddenly killed this woman named Diane Chambers...

If the snark comedies like Seinfeld are dying, why hasn't "Curb Your Enthusiasm" been given last rights...? It just seems to keep getting renewed when its last season should have been, in my opinion, during its first. (OBVIOUS CONCLUSION HERE: I am not a big fan of Larry David!!).

I didn't think Danson did so bad as Arthur Frobisher in "Damages." He might turn out to be a surprise choice for all the die-hard CSI fans.

I've been watching so much Cheers lately. I've always enjoyed Danson, I think this could work.
