    I covered Garth Brooks in Padres spring training (good field, no hit). No problem with this lunacy either. Brooks was one hell of a better interview than Tim will ever be.

    We talk here from time to time about worthless stats/rankings events, but spring training batting practice home run counts would have to top the list.

    It's a simple problem of supply and demand. The demand for spring training news from baseball fans greatly exceeds the amount of news generated by spring training.
