    T_D:

So you walked in, on a day you were scheduled to work, and quit? Leaving your coworkers strapped because they were a man down for a full shift, especially one who sold "$20,000 worth" of stuff in like a month?

Two weeks notice. Learn it. Love it. Or at least call in early so they have time to cover your shift. I'm stunned by this, honestly.

That hasn't been my experience there, most of the time I can walk around for 30 minutes before I even get approached.

I wasn't in "employee" only areas. Any customer can walk back to the install dock. It's not like I was back in the employee lounge playing Rock Band after I turned in my resignation.

And IJAG, at this point they didn't deserve the courtesy. Management that is. Do I feel like I slighted my fellow employees, no. They knew I was going to quit. Heck I even apologized to one for doing this on short notice, he said not to worry about it and wasn't mad at all. He was glad I was escaping the hell hole.

Then that store should be reprimanded for not following corporate policies. I know we were whenever a customer wasn't greeted pestered and peppered with employees coming at them constantly. (Yes, IJAG you were right again).

If you don't already know that me not turning in a two weeks notice isn't typically the way I'd handle something like this then I just don't know what to say.

Still, the point remains. Probably any other company will escort you to the door.

No company is going to let you walk/hang around unsupervised minutes after you've told them you're quitting. Why would they want to take a chance that you (or any quitting/fired employee would damage their merchandise/equipment?

I am sure it has been stated before by others, ask me if I need help once, if I say "No, I'm good" go away but stay nearby so I can ask you a question.

I understand your point. However you'd really have to know me to know I could never do something like that.

But apparently I'm being a "little bitch" about this whole thing so I'd just assume to lock this thread.

I'm the same way. If I say, "no thanks, I'm just looking," and you say "I'll be here if you need anything," we're good. If you keep hovering and asking questions, I won't be a happy camper and will probably walk out.

What usually happened is the customer will be handled once and then five minutes later another associate will come up, totally oblivious to the fact that the customer had just refused help. It got plenty frustrating.

Even if people knew you, companies are still not going to want to take any chances. Perfectly nice people can just snap if they are fired or quit and do something they regret later. And no, I'm not saying that's you.

And I don't know who's calling you a little bitch, but you have come on here, showing some immature things you wanted to do to Circuit City, even if you were just joking. Hell, quitting on a minutes notice is immature (even if the company deserved it).

As far as locking it, it's a free speech forum. No one is flaming any one here or calling anyone names.

In a PM, I said he was showing himself to be a little bitch on this thread. I didn't mean overall. I meant in regards to this situation.

I don't think Tommy's a little bitch in general. But there's definite bitchassness on this topic, in my opinion.
